Welcome to www.chirurgie-du-pied.net<\/h1>\r\nDr. Gautier METMER is an orthopedic surgeon in Bordeaux.\r\n\r\nHe has created this website with the aim of presenting, as clearly and concisely as possible, the common pathologies of the foot and ankle, as well as the various possible treatments.\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/div>

Many people are still reluctant to seek help. In fact, foot surgery has a reputation for being painful and having a long recovery period. However, advances in anaesthetic and surgical techniques have managed to curb this way of thinking. The use of techniques such as minimally-invasive (keyhole) surgery and arthroscopy means that the size of incisions are now much smaller which facilitates the recovery process for patients.<\/p>\n
